Wyoming

In 2007 the Wyoming
State Legislature amended the sex offender registry laws, directing
DCI to facilitate access to the information on a public internet web
site which lists all sex offenders registered in the State, without
the need to consider or assess the specific risk of reoffense with
respect to any individual prior to inclusion within the
registry.This web site is provided on the Internet to facilitate
public access to information about persons who have committed sex
offenses, enabling you to take appropriate precautions to protect
yourself and those in your care from possible harm.
-
No determination
has been made that any individual included in the registry is
currently dangerous;
-
Individuals
included in the registry are included solely by virtue of their
conviction record and state law;
-
The main purpose of
providing information on the Internet is to ensure information
is publicly available and accessible, not to warn about any
specific individual.
The public should use
this Web site to educate themselves about the presence of such
offenders in their local communities.While care is taken to assure
information presented here is accurate and up-to-date DCI cannot
guarantee inaccuracies will not occur. Updates occur regularly;
however information can change quickly. It is possible that
information accessed or obtained through this Web site may not
reflect current residences, license plate and vehicle descriptions,
or other information regarding such registrants. The information
listed is what has been reported to DCI. Incomplete information will
be captured during re-registration or periodic in-person
verification. Citizens may confirm registration information with the
local registering agency.It is your responsibility to make sure
the records you access through this site pertain to the person about
whom you are seeking information. A positive identification of
an individual cannot be conclusively established by comparing name,
date of birth, social security number or other information with that
provided in this registry. Comparisons based on appearance may also
be misleading, and cannot establish a positive identification
without some possibility of error. The only way to positively link
someone to a sex offender record is through fingerprint
verification.If you believe that any of the information found in
these records is in error, or you would like additional information,
please contact the sheriff of the county or the chief of police of
the city where the sex offender resides.
