The Sex Offender Registry Web Site is
maintained by the Maine State Police, State Bureau of Identification
and is intended to provide the public information concerning the
location of registered offenders currently within Maine. To learn
more about what information will be provided, please read the
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ).
The Registry does not contain information on all
individuals that have been convicted of a sex crime. Information is
only provided for those individuals that are required to register
pursuant to
Title 34-A MRSA, Chapter 15. Registration is limited to those
individuals sentenced for a requisite offense on or after January 1,
1982.
The registration information contained on this web site
will be updated on a daily basis to reflect the most current
information on file with the State Bureau of Identification. The
date of the last update is displayed on each page. Registrants are
required to verify their address on a periodic basis and upon a
change of address. The date of the last address verification is
indicated next to the registrant’s address. Registrants may,
however, have moved and failed to notify the State Bureau of
Identification of their change of address. Therefore the State
Bureau of Identification can not guarantee the accuracy of the
listed address. Should you believe that the information contained in
the Registry is not accurate please contact the Registry via
e-mail or contact the Registry office at 207-624-7270 between
the hours of 8 am and 5 pm, Monday through Friday.
The information provided on this web site is intended to be
used for public safety and community awareness purposes only. The
Maine State Bureau of Identification has not considered or assessed
the specific risk of re-offense with regard to any individual prior
to his or her inclusion on this web site and has made no
determination that any individual included on this web site is
currently dangerous. Individuals included on the web site are
included solely by virtue of their conviction record and Maine state
law. The primary purpose of providing this information is to make
the information easily available and accessible, not to warn about
any specific individual. Use of this information to threaten,
intimidate, or harass any registrant or any other person may result
