Illinois
 The Illinois State Police provides an
online listing of sex offenders required to register in the State of
Illinois. The database is updated daily and allows searching by
name, city, county, zip code, compliance status, or any combination
thereof. In addition, geographic searching can now be performed by
choosing the Mapping link in the menu or the Geographic Search
option on the right.
Illinois Compiled Statutes (730 ILCS 152/115 (a) and (b)) mandate
that the Illinois State Police ("ISP") establish and maintain a
statewide Sex Offender Database, accessible on the Internet,
identifying persons who have been convicted of certain sex offenses
and/or crimes against children and must register as a Sex Offender.
The Sex Offender data
search page was created to facilitate access to publicly available
information about persons convicted of sex offenses. The primary
purpose of providing this information is to make the information
easily available and accessible. Anyone who uses this information to
commit a criminal act against another person is subject to criminal
prosecution.
The data contained herein pertains only to those offenders under
parole supervision or mandatory supervised release from the Illinois
Department of Corrections who are required to register as Sex
Offenders per Illinois statute. Less than 2000 of the 18,000+ sex
registrants in Illinois are under the supervision of the Illinois
Department of Corrections. The address information is updated by the
Parole Division of the Department and may differ from that displayed
on the Illinois State Police Sex Offender Registry web site;
www.isp.state.il.us.
Due to processes and technical data transfer issues, certain data
may not match at all times between agencies and is subject to
change. Some address information is self reported by offenders and
may be inaccurate or not required by law. Additional information and
verification can be obtained from the local law enforcement agency
where the sex offender resides, and/or from the Illinois State
Police Sex Offender Registration Team. DOC makes no representation,
express or implied that the information contained on this Registry
is accurate.
The information contained on this site does not imply listed
individuals will commit a specific type of crime in the future, nor
does it imply that if future crime is committed by a listed
individual what the nature of that crime may be. DOC makes no
representations as to any offender's likelihood of re-offending.
